Happy New Year to you all!
2015 has been bitter sweet for me. This blog post is dedicated to my beautiful mum who passed away suddenly on March 3rd. It’s been a testing year, but through amazing family, friends and beautiful clients everything has been a little easier.
My mum brought us up to love hard, to be whatever we wanted to be and that anything is possible. I’ve put this more into my work, developing my style more and trying to please less. To take risks pushing myself in my work to document beautiful stories how they happen. Real, unstaged. To stop nothing and to soak up every bit of it along the way.
I’ve shot weddings and portrait sessions up and down the country, a pre wedding session in Amsterdam and look forward to two weddings in Italy next year. My camera has allowed me to document weddings in Hong Kong, America and the South of France to name a few. I’ve made new friends and continue to document past bride and grooms stories with new baby arrivals.
I was also fortunate enough to have one of my Polaroid images selected for the Poladarium 2016 calendar, one of 365 selected from all over the world. I love shooting film, most of the images in this post are shot on various film cameras, so it was a great end to the year to see it in print.
I have a very exciting year lined up already with some amazing, unique weddings booked up. Lots more travel. A brand new website launching at the beginning of February and lots of little changes to my services I offer.
A big thank you to Kimberley, Eve and my family for your love, patience and showing strength in weakness. To Juanita, my best friend and sidekick. To the UK Film Lab for the amazing work and patience and of course my amazing clients! Without you I wouldn’t have anything to document. Thank you all.
If you are thinking of getting in touch please do. I can’t wait to hear from you!
Here are a few of my favourite images from 2015….
